A Summary and outline of Objectives for the 10-week course entitled:

Self Hypnosis: A journey to our powerful selves.

By Learning Self Hypnosis we engage in A Program of Self Discovery and Self Realisation. Learning self hypnosis facilitates the use of our creative intelligence (our Higher Mind) in order to create the positive changes we want for ourselves.

This course of 10, 2-hour lessons offers participants the opportunity to learn about their mind, to learn self-hypnosis and to consciously tune into their own, inherent, powerful, self. Participants  will be guided through the rules of the mind , in terms of how we learn things, how we develop unwanted and unhealthy habits and behaviours and  the capacity we all have for change. Realising the Power of Our Mind...Recognising it... Knowing it ... and then utilising it.... to create the positive change we want for ourselves..... Hypnosis and self-hypnosis can bring us to a place where perhaps for the first time in our life we are exercising control over ourselves!

We are creatures of habit. Even when we want change, we can resist it or even fear it. Or we can tell ourselves that its pointless,saying to ourselves things like “ I cannot do this”, ”it never works for me”...etc.etc. This is unfortunately all too common.  But in order to achieve permanent positive change, in order to take control of our lives and make our lives what we want them to be:  we must learn about our minds and the power that exists within every human on the planet.

Our minds are our precious source of power and control. We have the ability to create positive change for ourselves. Sometimes circumstances and life experience has brought us to a place where we feel powerless, bitter, despairing or numb. But that circumstance is not the reality of our human brilliance. It is likely that we just don’t know yet, the powerful, efficient capacity we have for changing ourselves.  Our higher Self knows what we need, knows what is in our best interest and continuously drives us towards becoming who we want to be.

Einstein was one of the most famous of the great minds that ever inhabited our planet. He is probably the most famous scientist the earth has known. Why was he so brilliant? Because, he saw things from outside “the box”.  He dared to question the way things were seen by others.  He changed not only his own perception of the world but the way we all see things since.  The way we have behaved up until now is probably from within “the box”. This course challenges us. Is it time to see outside “the box” and realise what we want for ourselves?  It can be done. So all that remains to be asked is: what are we prepared to do about it?

This course of 10, 2hour lessons offers participants the opportunity to learn about their mind, to learn self-hypnosis and to consciously tune into their own, inherent, powerful, self.  It offers lessons in how to access the state of mind which facilitates permanent positive change. Progress is the key word here, Progress demonstrates movement. The overall objective of the course is to initiate movement, movement  towards our full potential,  taking action in order to move forward, to progress and know more and more of our innate potential.  Innate potential means inherent, it means we all have it; same as every acorn has within it what it takes to become an oak tree!!


Overview of the Course Content:

The course is broadly divided into 2 phases.

Phase 1 covers the understanding of the rules of the mind that have governed our behaviour up until now. It offers a broad understanding of how we “work”.

Phase 2 uses this understanding as the foundation for facilitating change. We learn self hypnosis and how to communicate with our higher-mind in a language and manner that promotes positive change.

PART 1: Lessons 1 to 5 (up to the Halloween break)

We start by learning how we form beliefs, perceptions of the world and the image of ourselves which we hold. The main aim is, through this learning, to realise how we picked up all the negative, self-limiting beliefs that we hold about ourselves.

Let’s explore the lies that we accepted as true, not because we were stupid but, because we were children and weng adults and we knew no better. Therefore, this first Lesson (and this mind-shift, is continued into Lesson 2) is one in AWAKENING:  An Awakening from the trance of ignorance that we got lost in along the way. Our goal is an opening of our minds to the truth about our individual brilliance and potential to grow:  An opening to the possibility that our potential to improve and make the positive changes that we want for ourselves is limitless.

In a manner of speaking, before we learn how to self-hypnotise ourselves and before we learn to reprogram ourselves with what we want and need for our positive development and self-realisation;  we need to De-Hypnotise ourselves from the myths and misinformation that we picked up along the way and heretofore, have believed as true. 

These old negative programs need to be destabilised first and this is done through acquiring a new understanding. De-stabilisation of old negative beliefs and programs picked up as a child and reinforced during our adult lives occurs through a realisation of the way it really is, i.e. who we are without these negative ways.

That’s right, we are going to rattle the cages and look “outside the box”.  This course offers you the opportunity to  “jump right out”  and prepare for a wonderful journey :  Progress.

Continuing to learn about the ways we were programmed to believe the negative message, we look at what it is we want to change for ourselves. This is just a quick, first-look at what we want this course of lessons to help us achieve. A confidential summary sheet is filled in before break which outlines what we want for ourselves in terms of positive changes. T no times are participants asked to share their own personal goals or objectives. This is a confidential setting and the course instructor is the only one who will have access to peoples own goals and objectives.

The world is composed of energy, we are energy, the sun is energy, emotions are energy... with this in mind we explore the nature of our emotions. What are they? How do they impact upon us or direct us? Can we change our emotions from negative to good? Yes we can; so then we explore: How? All this is explored in an interactive lesson on ourselves as feeling creatures. Distinguished from all other creatures by our capacity to feel emotions and be charged by them to either act positively, negatively or even freeze into inaction!!! 

We spend most of our lives doing what we feel like doing.  Therefore the overall objective is to create a state of mind and inner understanding that creates the feeling we are looking for.

Listening to our inner voice, we begin noticing how we speak to ourselves! Home work includes..... taking note of our inner voice.

We take an intriguing and deeply interesting look at the power of hypnosis. This natural state of mind, which is also called hypnotic trance, is so totally normal and a part of our everyday lives that we just don’t notice it for what it is!!  This mind-state which is hypnotic trance, is ours to access and use. First we need to learn about it. What it is. How to experience it. What the rules of the mind are that govern its success. “The Secret” and the power of attraction and so much more. Come along for the ride of a lifetime!!! The class experiences hypnosis and positive mind programming.  Each participant is given a mind programming self-hypnosis recording to use during the break.

IN PART 2 from Lesson 6 to 10 (after the Halloween break)

Firstly, we reinforce all the learnings from phase one and re-visit any information that the group requests. Thereafter, we acknowledge that we have arrived at a place where at the very least, we are beginning to believe, truly believe, that we might be able to change!! So here in Phase 2 (from lesson 6 through to 10) we move from this to the natural next step, initiating the change. In order to do this we need to understand the language that our higher-mind understands and acts upon. We need to understand the rules of the mind governing change. These are walked through in great detail and with clarity and simplicity.

It is important to speak the language of the higher –mind in order to get its maximum help in affecting the change we want. Therefore, positive, well thought out language is taught to all participants. This is used to create an individual mind-program for each person. This encompasses a clear outline of precisely what we want, how that will make us feel and how we will know when we have achieved it. 

Each person drafts (with assistance) their own mind-program. Readiness for change comes with the realisation that change is possible. Once a new idea has been accepted by the higher-mind then it stays there and affects change.

In phase 2 we learn about control. In order to have real control we learn to let go! We learn to let our higher-mind do its job and we let go of our rationalising-conscious controlling ways. They haven’t worked up until now, so it’s time to engage a new approach. 

In Phase 2, We learn to use self hypnosis combined with our own positive-mind-program to begin to create change; the positive change we want for ourselves. We learn that Progress and Change are a journey not a destination. We learn that positive change is possible, no matter how bad our circumstances and our past experiences. We learn how to begin creating the changes we want for ourselves. We empower ourselves with a level of understanding and knowing and this in turn opens our minds to all the wonderful possibilities.
